Tag Strategy Guide
Pick a strategy, choose tags that fit your post and put together a set that gets views.
Choosing a strategy
SlyKiwi scores every tag three ways. The data is the same. What changes is how much risk you take.
Conservative
Tags with steady likes and views across many posts. Slower growth, but the lowest chance of wasting a post. Start here if you post less than daily.
Balanced
About half proven tags and half tags that are growing now. A good fit if you post regularly.
Aggressive
Fast-growing tags, with a bonus for smaller ones, before they get crowded. More upside and more misses. Use it on test posts.
Try this split: Conservative for your regular posts and Aggressive for one test post a week. After a month, compare views and use more of what did better.
Picking tags
- Aim for 8 to 10 tags. Fansly recommends up to 10 per post.
- Start with 1 to 3 tags that describe what is in the post.
- Add 3 to 5 high-scoring suggested tags from your niche.
- Finish with 1 or 2 smaller niche tags where your post can rank near the top.
By type of post:
- Solo: one body tag, one mood tag and one style tag, then suggestions.
- Couple: start with the couple tag, then add the activity and the mood.
- Niche and fetish: lead with the exact fetish tag. Fans search for these by name, so being exact matters more than reach.
Matching tags to your post
Your tags tell viewers what they will see. If the post doesn't match, engagement drops.
Do
- Use tags a viewer would agree with after seeing the post
- Keep one niche tag on all your posts so fans can find the rest
- Drop a tag that does poorly for two weeks
Avoid
- Big tags that have nothing to do with the post. They bring views but few likes
- Tags that contradict each other, like solo and threesome
- Copying a top creator's tags. Their fans are not yours
